for dressing one of their Airbus planes in a special Williams F1 livery to present that hey are sponsoring the Williams Formula 1 team.
for their special Iron Maiden flight that delivered fans to the locations of the bands’ concerts. Naturally the pilot was captain Bruce Dickinson himself.
for a perfect retro website and retro livery on the airline’s 85th birthday.
for the introduction of their new A380. First they made a nice naming ceremony, then the first flight was welcome by John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John in Los Angeles.

We really belive that this selection really represents the best PR actions of the year and we congratulate these airlines and their PR experts, because there is a tough competition, but somehow most airlines do not use this tool to get freemedia attention as they do.
