George Bush International Airport in Houston, Texas offers a special entertainment for bored travellers. Karaoke is much fun at parties, but the brave management of the airport decided to take the idea of an employee and start offering karaoke as a new entertainment service for passengers.
It could have been a complete failure as well, but Rob Mason, the enthusiastic employee provided not just the idea and the karaoke machine to the airport, he even took the role of the karaoke DJ and debuted at the first karaoke party organized especially for the holidays.
Besides karaoke, local chool chires were also invited to entertain tired and nervous passengers and bring holiday spirit to the terminal while queuing up for security control. According to the airport’s webiste, it was a big hit and I am almost sure karaoke will become a standard at international airports, soon.
